Boralex is seeking the views of the local community on a proposal to improve the energy yield of its consented Shepherds’ Rig project while reducing the number of turbines in the scheme.
The 17-turbine project, consented by Scottish Ministers in 2023, has been undergoing a review process and with new turbine models now available, Boralex is keen to maximise the green energy generated on the site by utilising fewer, larger machines.
A public consultation event is planned for Tuesday 10th September from 1.00pm to 7.00pm at Lagwynne Hall, Carsphairn. All of the information will be available on this website on a ‘consultation’ page where a feedback form will also be available.
